DeodorMeow

Feline Odorants and Safety

Desert Formulations (DF), a division of Desert Juice Company, LLC, provides specialized services in chemical formulation, synthesis, and regulatory compliance. Our mission is to develop sustainable formulations using green ingredients that support product safety and reduce environmental impact.

We select components recognized as safe for users and the environment. When feasible, we design water-based products as concentrated formulas to reduce weight and volume, lower shipping costs, allow customer-controlled dilution, and enable do-it-yourself users to adjust concentrate strength to their specific needs.

Desert Formulations supports a broad range of formulation areas, including pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, inks, and specialty formulations. With more than 25 years of bench-scale experimentation and formulation analysis, DF applies both practical and theoretical formulation expertise.

Our technical foundation includes synthetic organic and inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, and physical chemistry. This multidisciplinary approach enables precise control of chemical and physical properties to achieve intended performance outcomes.

DeodorMeow™ was developed to eliminate volatile odors produced from feline urine and feces. These compounds can accumulate and create unpleasant—and potentially harmful—indoor air conditions for pets and humans. Unlike fragrance additives that simply mask odors, DeodorMeow™ is designed to neutralize odor-causing substances at the source.

Odors from feces and urine include amines, sulfides, and urea. Urea, a primary urinary component, is broken down by bacteria into ammonia, the characteristic odor associated with cat urine. These odor-causing compounds are permanently transformed by DeodorMeow™, reducing odor buildup in neglected litter boxes that can contribute to respiratory irritation, allergies, and infections in both cats and humans.

Information on proper litter box use with and without deodorants is available throughout the website. Product application instructions are provided in the Directions for Use section.
